Saguaro in Morristown AZ. The added sepia tone was to help give the photo an appearance of age for this project. The Frame(#14)16x20 is pine that had years of water damaged and outside age that gave it some natural greys throughout the grain. A Gabon Ebony inlay at the opening adds to highlight the photo. The frame has a tung oil finish and a Carnauba wax topcoat too add a little extra shine, it all comes together to make this one really unique. South Rim This photo was bought from a studio on the South Rim of the Grand Canyon. The Frame(#16)11x14 is Red Oak with Ebony/Bloodwood inlay, a natural danish oil finish tops it off. The frames outer edge is stepped to fit the blocked design appearance on the mat, the inner edge has a chamfer leading to the edge of the photo. The combo fits well together. Zion This photo was taken at Zion National Park while on vacation. The Frame(21)11x14 is redwood with a linseed oil finish. I used the linseed oil to deepen the red and brown hues of the wood. I think this frame compliments the photo quite well.
